Toronto Reference Library 4 The Cards

The catalog cabinets, and the handwritten index cards in 1970s. I wrote so many such index cards for my library in 1980s.

Toronto Reference Library 3 The Systems

Look these books of history of different countries. The French Century, its call number 944.08 is depended on Dewey Decimal Classification. In China, we use Chinese Library Classification (CLC) The French Century's call number should be K504.

Toronto Reference Library 2 The Books and People

I entered the picture. My teacher and my classmates had already been there. A librarian was instructing. We followed the librarian to the fourth floor, she told us about English learning books, and I asked her which books can be borrowed. She replied me that what kinds of books which can be borrowed were depend on there book-labels.

Toronto Reference Library 1 The Picture

I went into the Toronto Reference Library. Wow! There was a huge picture in front of me. This was the picture of red and white-----white bookshelves and red carpets in bright light. Two tan sightseeing elevators which were busy up and down and green plants scattered everywhere made the picture even more colourful.

IEP CONFERENCE

Although I did not attend IEP but I have read some blogs which my classmate wrote about the conference. Mehran rezvanl said the conference was regarded as one of the most innovative and respectful events for international educated professional newcomers finding their jobs.  Salim Shamal, as he wrote, arrived there very early, he got a lot of flyers and heard so much about Marketing and Advertising, related professions section of Engineering, he said there were jobs opportunities in Alberta especially Calgary. I guessed he wanted to go to Calgary maybe.  Anyhow, I have known some about IEP conference from their blogs.
Thanks my classmates and my teacher Joseph Ng!
